Frequently Asked Questions

My friend/partner/family member wants to come to the MAC with me, but they aren't a member, can they visit?

Current Mitchell Activity Center members may purchase a 5-punch pass to bring a guest to the MAC. Punch cards are $25 for 5 visits and are purchased at the cashier's office. Bring your proof of purchase to the MAC, and a front desk staff member will issue you the punch pass.

Note: You must be present with your guest during their visit to the MAC.

I had a membership last quarter, and now I don't...what happened?

It's possible that your class load dropped, and you aren't meeting the 5-credit threshold to have the membership automatically included in your student fees. This can also happen due to switching to a program that primarily takes place on another campus (such as wood tech or maritime), or to a program that is online, or withdrawing from your classes.

Note: We are unable to see why your membership is not active at the MAC; specific inquiries should be made with the cashier's office.

What kind of programs/activities do you offer at the MAC?

We are always looking for ways to encourage health, wellness and community for Seattle Central Students. We offer a group fitness program, where students can participate in a variety of fitness classes at no extra cost. We also partner with Student Leadership to host a variety of events and activities. Previous examples include bouldering at the Seattle Bouldering Project, hiking at Discovery Park, Intramural Sports, Game Nights, De-stress Days, Karaoke Night.

Can I rent a locker?

Yes! Locker Rentals are available quarterly. The fee is $5 per quarter and is payable at the cashier's office. Please bring proof of payment to the MAC and we will issue you a locker.

Please note: Lockers must be renewed quarterly.

I want to work at the MAC; how can I join your team?

We are delighted that you want to be part of the Mitchell Activity Center Team! We typically hire students to begin in the Fall Quarter and will post the job in June or July. Occasionally, we need to hire part-way throughout the academic year, and if so, we will post fliers in the MAC and a link on our website.

I forgot my Student ID...can I still come in?

All members using the facility must show their student ID to gain access. If you forget or lose your student ID, you may use another form of physical picture ID along with your CtC # to check into the facility. Student IDs are required to check out any equipment.

I still have questions!

Feel free to email us at mac.central@seattlecolleges.edu, or swing by the MAC and chat with one of our friendly front desk attendants.
