Maya Tacon (she/her)

is a Seattle-based movement artist from New York. A graduate of SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance & Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan, she has worked with artists Cameo Lethem, Jordan Macintosh-Hougham, Michelle Miller, Andy McShea, Joseph Hernandez, Alice Gosti, Tariq Mitri, and Lavinia Vago in Seattle. She has taught for the worldwide family of Dance Church ® since 2018, and co-directs CO-, a dance production company in Seattle & Los Angeles. Maya holds a STOTT Pilates certification and is deeply passionate about facilitating an empowering practice for professional movers and non-dancers alike. She currently teaches at Tribe Fitness, Strength & Mobility Pilates, and Seattle Central College.
